At the Mudgee Licensing Court on Monday, the licence of the Post Office Hotel, Mudgee, was transferred from Carnegie Splatt to Mrs. Laurel Reardon. There was no police objection4

Renovations to Post Office Hotel, Mudgee
The Post Office Hotel, Mudgee, now under the management of Mr. Alf Mathews, has been undergoing extensive renovations.
Freshly painted cream and green outside with touches of bright red on wood work, the hotel has been modernised with many alterations, and great attention has been paid to interior decorating.
New, light colour-schemes have been achieved with attractive wallpapers, curtains and floorcoverings, and furniture has been upholstered to match.
The bedrooms have been prepared for guests, permanent and casual, with new fittings, including linen, blankets, pillows and cushions, bedspreads and curtains, and the dining room, re-opened this week has been provided with complete new sets of china, cutlery and table linen.
Many new arrangements for the comfort of guests are yet to be added5

Verandah Post Smacked
On Saturday last a truck backed into one of the end wooden stanchions supporting the upstairs verandah of the Post Office Hotel, and pushed it out of alignment. As a result portion of the flooring sagged to rather an alarming extent, but luckily it held, and, with no further damage occurring, repairs were effected6
.
