MR. WEBB'S PARAGON HOTEL.
The Paragon Hotel, which is in the hands of Mr. Webb, is in the centre of the town, close to the Mechanics' Institute and the New South Wales and A.J.S. Banks. It is a most centrally-situated two-brick structure with a wide verandah, occupying as it does a splendid site at the corner of Perry and Gladstone streets. The Paragon has 84 rooms, all particularly well furnished, including bedrooms, parlors, dining-rooms, large commercial rooms, etc. The bedrooms are roomy and comfortable, and everything about the place is scrupulously clean. Upstairs there are stained-glass doors leading into the verandah, lit up at night with gas, which traverses two sides of the house. This hotel, at which the Supreme Court Judges stay when on circuit, is under the patronage of the Commercial Travellers' Association of New South Wales. There are hot and cold water baths. At the entrance hall there are nice pot-plants, and its appearance creates a favourable impression at first sight. The stabling (built of brick) is also fine, with commodious loose-boxes, and is eagerly sought after at race and Show times. There is, too, a large yard. I should add that water is laid on all over the place, and is pumped by means of a windmill into an overhead tank1 .

First Class Accommodation
We’re extra fussy about our beer, about its quality, and about the way we draw and serve it. We believe, too, that the rest of our very complete bar Stock is well out of the ordinary.
