MESSRS. CROSSING AND COX, AUCTIONEERS AND STOCK AND STATION AGENTS.
One of the conspicuous architectural features of Market-street, Mudgee, is the stone-fronted building occupied by Messrs. Crossing and Cox, auctioneers and stock and station agents. Mr. Henry Crossing has carried on the business for upwards of forty years, and has so successfully organised it, that it is now widely and favourably known throughout this State and Queensland. Messrs. Crossing and Cox have always paid great attention to the conduct of stock sales, and two regular weekly sales of fat stock, with frequent sales of store stock, making the town of Mudgee a highly important stock-selling centre. The firm has very extensive paddocking accommodation close both to the trucking and selling yards, which greatly facilitates the handling of their clients' stock1 .

MUDGEE STOCK AND STATION AGENTS.
The firm of Crossing and Cox are very well known in the Mudgee district, the business being started in 1870 by Mr. Henry Crossing and Mr. V. Cox.
The present Mr. Crossing is a son. He is well-known throughout the State as a practical man among livestock, and is engaged also in growing wool. His partner, Mr. Heath, who has been in the business 53 years, is also an experienced man in livestock. Both are keen, modern business men. They do a big turnover, having the confidence of the district. Regular store and fat stock sales are held at the Corporation Yards. On the 17th November next, they are offering a subdivision of 2300 acres of deep lucerne country within 5 miles of Mudgee, fronting the Cudgegong River. It is cut into 12 farms, suitable for lucerne, maize, or wheat-growing. The rainfall is 25.93 inches2 .
