No Hotel
LICENCE FOR CHARBON REFUSED.
The. application for a| hotel at Charbon was again before the Licensing Bench at Rylstone on Wednesday.
Mr Bathgate, barrister, of Sydney, addressed the Bench for an hour, and asked for a further adjournment or for permission to withdraw 'the petition. The court, he submitted, had power, and in the event of either request being granted applicant would pay cost if necessary.
After a brief retirement to consider the position, the chairman stated that the court had decided it had no power to grant a withdrawal or adjournment. No recommendation would be made to the Governor1
