The office was praised.
Market Street boasts some of the finest examples of Australian colonial architecture, not only in Mudgee but in the country areas of the state.
One of the outstanding examples is the Post Office, built over 100 years ago and still affording pleasure with its attractive, well proportioned lines.
Members of the National Trust, which visited the Mudgee District several months ago, were fascinated with many of the homes and public buildings of the town and surrounding area.
Market Street came in for high praise, particularly with that section which takes in the Church of England, Rural Bank, Town Hall, Commercial Bank, Kelletts and the Post Office3
