Police Release CCTV images following theft in Mudgee
Police posted information on their Facebook page in relation to the theft of a watch from Byrnes Jewellers in Mudgee on the 18th of May this year.

Once the post went live they immediately received a number of calls at the Mudgee Police Station in relation to the theft.

Yesterday evening , June 1, a 29 year old man from Yarrawonga, and formerly of Victoria handed himself into the Mudgee Police Station in relation to the stealing.

The man was arrested and interviewed in relation to the theft. He was later charged with stealing the watch and is to appear at the Mudgee Local Court on July 20 this year.

The man stated that he sold the watch locally and police are making inquiries in relation to that information, in an effort to get the watch back.

The police explained. "If you have the watch, it's not yours and we suggest you come and see us too at 94 Market Street, Mudgee before we see you. We are open 24/7.

Good has conquered evil in our community once again, thank you very much."



Police have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to in relation to the stealing of a watch at Byrnes Jewellery, Market Street, Mudgee earlier this month.

About 3.10pm on Wednesday the 18th of May, 2016 a Seiko Solar Analogue Watch, model: SNE098P-9 was stolen from the jewellers.

Following investigations, Police from Mudgee Local Area Command have obtained images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The man is described as being 35 to 40 years old with tanned skin, medium build, short black hair, short cut beard, wearing a grey short sleeved shirt, long blue track pants and green thongs.

Anyone with information about the incident, or who has information about the identity and whereabouts of the man depicted, is urged to contact Mudgee Police on 6372 8599 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Information can be supplied anonymously and will be dealt with in strict confidence1 .
