MUDGEE HOTEL CHANGES HANDS
The control of one of the most popular houses of call in Mudgee, the Court House Hotel, changes hands today (Monday) when the new licensee, Mr. J. C. Thorpe, takes over from Mesdames Bowden and Bradley who have been conducting the hotel since the death of the former proprietor, Mr. T. D. Murdock, some eight or nine months ago. The late Mr. Murdock worked up a good connection for this old-established hostelry and since his death, his daughter Mrs. Bowden, assisted by Mrs. Bradley has continued the good work so capably that in welcoming Mr. Thorpe to Mudgee, the Guardian feels assured that he will find no cause to regret his new venture2 .
