Mr. John Egan, who has had charge of the Bridgelo Subsidised School at Bylong for the past twelve months, was among the successful candidates at the recent examination for teachers of small schools. Mr. Neville, of Cudgegong, was also successful. Both are now undergoing a three months course of preparatory training at the District School prior to their appointment to schools2

BYLONG HELPS.
At a recent day's sports held at Bridgelo Provisional School in aid of the Belgian Patriotic Fund, the sum of £30 was realised, giving a net profit of £24/13/. This shows that the residents of Bylong and surrounding district are playing their part loyally when called upon to do so. Needless to say they will continue doing the same during such a time of strife and suffering among nations3
