AVISFORD SCHOOL.
Mr. W. F. Dunn, M.L.A., has received the following communication from the Director of Education: - Replying to your representations of April 28, on behalf of Mrs. Thos. Gorrie, of Avisford, via Mudgee, and Mr. E. Lawrence, of Avisford, via Mudgee, urging the re-opening of the school at that place. I wish to say that the effective enrolment at the end of the March quarter was nine only. Consequently it became necessary to withdraw the teacher. Your correspondents state that there are ? children of school age who could attend. The question of re-appointing a teacher is under reference to the local inspector of schools for report4 .

PROPOSED REVOCATION OF DEDICATIONS
As I am of the opinion that the purposes of the dedications of the areas described hereunder have failed, notice is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of section 25 of the Crown Lands Consolidation Act, 1913, that it is intended to revoke such dedications with a view to dealing with the land in accordance with the provisions of that Act. T. L. LEWIS, Minister for Lands. Land District-Mudgee; Shire-Cudgegong; Parish Avisford; County Wellington, 8 094 square metres, being portion 60, dedicated 26th March, 1886, for Public School Site. Pks 72-17695 .
