Pyramul Sisters of St Josephs School

1886

4 December 1886
A grand concert and dramatic entertainment were given at the Sisters of St. Joseph's school room on Friday night last. Both were a decided success. The large room, notwithstanding there was no moon, and the people had to come long distances, was pretty well filled, making the affair a financial success. The drama entitled "Ernscliff Hall," was rendered by the pupils of the school with great credit. They also gave a choice selection of songs and recitations. Mr. Everitt, the celebrated amateur resident of Sofala, took a prominent part in adding to the evening's entertainment. He is a host in himself. Mr. Mallow, of Windeyer, played the accompaniments. Mr. Hogan, near Windeyer, rendered some nice selections on the violin. All finished up with a clog dance by Mr. Everitt. Mr. Everitt informed the company that a special entertainment would be given in Sofala on the night of the 15th proximo, for the Sisters of St. Joseph there, and also one on the night of the 17th proximo at Hill End, for the Sisters of St. Joseph there. There is no doubt he is a second McCabe on the stage, and a helper in every good cause. Nov. 30, 18861 .
