Running Stream Half-Time School in the County of Roxburgh opened in January 1917, partnering with Round Swamp Half-Time School.
In 1917 the establishment of a half-time school did not require a minimum number of students.
In October 1919, the school was converted to a Provisional School which required a minimum of ten students. The School became a Public School in January 1921, and closed in February 1943.
There was a subsequent school at Running Stream from 1953 to 19782 .

REVOCATION OF DEDICATIONS
WHEREAS under section 25, Crown Lands Consolidation Act, 1913, power is given for the revocation of any dedication of Crown land dedicated by the Crown: Now, therefore, I declare that all preliminary action has been taken in connection with the revocation of the dedications of the areas described hereunder, and I revoke the said dedications, in so far as they apply to or affect the areas described hereunder.
