Lawson's Creek public school, under the charge of Mr. A. Meany, is well maintaining the reputation it won in the past under pedagague John Shute. The latest successes of the pupils were achieved at the Dubbo Show, where they scored heavily in writing and drawing. A few years ago Lawson's Creek was unknown beyond the environments of Mudgee; to-day the records of its school are talked of all over the State. For this the residents have to thank primarily Mr. John Shute and secondly Mr. Meany. It is certainly the case of an able and enthusiastic teacher being succeeded by one equally able and conscientious7

Popular Teacher. - Mr. A. P. Meany, the recently appointed school teacher from Lawson's Creek, is very popular in Kandos, both with the school children and the residents, and the people consider that they are most fortunate in having such a capable and painstaking man as Mr. Meany in their midst. Mr. Meany was a very conspicuous worker at the sports meeting held recently8
