Extra fine investment - COAST & COUNTRY
One of the Mudgee district's best known superfine wool properties, Tunnabidgee which has been in the same family for four generations, is being offered for private sale.
The property comprises 1,012 hectares and has consistently produced IPP-type extra fine wools which have achieved the top prices at the Sydney wool sales and a record top price in 1991.
Tunnabidgee in the Pyramul district has excellent improvements with a modern four-bedroom brick veneer home, machinery shed, two haysheds, two stand shearing shed, sheep and cattle yards, 12 shelter sheds, four silos and a 100-ewe stud complex.
The property is well watered with 45 dams and two creeks and has about 60 paddocks. Recent sales of fine wool properties in the Mudgee area have included Grattai Station, a 1,171 hectare property that sold for $1.12 million and a combination of five properties at Meroo near Mudgee of 1,680 hectares sold last month for $785,000.
