NEW DISTRICT RESIDENT AT MONIVAE, LUE.
Mr. T. Spora, from Artarmon, last week took up his residence at Monivae, where he has purchased 3000 acres, portion of the Monivae Estate, from Mr. James McMaster. We welcome Mr. Spora to our district, and trust his stay will be a happy and prosperous one. Mr. Spora placed 2200 sheep on his property last week, which he purchased from the Dubbo district1

ENTERTAINMENT AT WONGA
MR Pat O'Donnell, the well-known life saving expert from Manly, is enjoying a short stay at 'Wonga,' Rylstone, where he gives instruction in life-saving in the large dam dally. Mr O'Donnell is also a very enthusiastic dramatic artist, and staged for the benefit of the visitors a short drama entitled 'Station Life, or the Grazlers' Lament.' The various parts were taken as follows: Mr Frank Spora, 'the grazier,' who very dramatically recited 'When I Get My Wool Cheque,' for which he received well merited applause; Mr Leo Spora, as 'a boundary rider,' was very realistic with his dog 'Biddy You Beauty'; Jim, Peter and Paddy the ringer, shearers; Keith and Bev, rouseabouts, and the Babbling Brook who wanted to go home. Mr O'Donnell is leaving for the north in a few days and will leave behind many friends that he made during his stay at 'Wonga'2

DOINGS AT WONGA
MESSRS. Spora Bros., of Wonga homestead, near Rylstone. have recently carried out a considerable number of improvements to their property. A fine sheep dip has 'been constructed In concrete near the shearing sheds, also concrete, pens for draining. This has entailled a great deal of labor, as well as a considerable amount of expense. A new tank with a capacity ot approximately 3500 gallons has also been installed at the shearing sheds. The water from this tank will be used for the sheep dip. Shearling is at present in full swing. Mr. Ted Swlnbourne, from Botany. is classing the wool. He, with Mrs. Trimboll (nee Spora) is a guest at Wonga. Mrs. Trimboll Is accompanied by her son Jack. Their short holiday, however; Is drawing to an end, and they will soon return to their home in the city3

DISASTROUS FIRE.
Messrs Spora Bros., of 'Wonga,' Camboon, lost their homestead on Wednesday morning, when the entire building went up in flames. Mr. Leo. Spora was awakened by the sound of crackling proceeding from the direction of the kitchen, and at first thought It to be Mr. Herb. Turner lighting the kitchen fire, but soon Leo. began to smell the smoke .and jumped out of bed to find the kitchen well alight In the roof. Awakening his ber and the housekeeper, the trio managed to rescue a very few articles, I and make their escape. The house and contents were entirely consumed by the flames in a very short time. We understand that the house and contents were insured4

'WONGA' SOLD
WE are advised that the well-known property. 'Wonga.' of 3100 acres freehold, originally portion of 'Lue' Station, which was submitted to auction lately, has been sold, the purchasers being Messrs F. and L. Spora. The selling agents were Messrs Goldsbrough, Mort and Co. Ltd., in conjunction with Messrs Crossing and Cox. We are glad that Messrs Spora are not leaving the district5
