FIRE AT MUDGEE.
A fire broke out on Sunday night in the front shop of the Speedwell Cycle Depot, Church Street, Mudgee, owned by Mr. M. Anderson. The fire had a good hold when the brigade arrived, and the large stock of motor cycles, bicycles, and sundries was destroyed, the damage being estimated at £400. The outbreak extended to Farthing's saddlery shop, and Charlton's hairdressing saloon, causing damage to the extent of £300. The latter were covered by insurance, but, unfortunately for himself, Mr. Anderson neglected to renew his insurance about two months ago. He is a son of Mr. J. B. Anderson, of Wellington, and had a similar business in Leo Street, before going over to Mudgee1 .
