Historic building up for lease in Mudgee
Mudgee's Commonwealth bank will move to new premises from April next year.
The bank isn't going far, taking over the currently empty store right next door on Church Street.
The current building at 17 Church Street, Mudgee is now available for lease.
This is the first time the building has been made available to the general public in 100 years.
The property was built in 1913.
In the late 1920's, the prominent Sydney architectural firm of Ross and Rowe was responsible for an extension to Mudgee's Government Savings Bank of NSW.
The bank merged to form the Commonwealth Bank in 1931.
Ross and Rowe also designed the prominent Commonwealth Bank building in Martin Place, Sydney in 1928.
The Mudgee building consists of 357 square feet of downstairs space for the new tenant.
The upstairs section of the building is currently leased as residential.
The building is available through The Property Shop1 .
