NEW PRESIDENT
Dr. L. Tunley Elected
WE greatly appreciate the work of Mr. O'Reilly, said Mr. A. Pulley in speaking on behalf of the headmaster and teachers of the Gulgong Public School at the annual meeting of the Parents and Citizens' Association on Monday night, when he proposed Mr. O. M. O'Reilly for re-election as president of the association.
'I'd like to see Dr. Tunley in the chair,' said Mr. O'Reilly, and he promptly nominated him for the position.
A vote was taken and Dr. L. Tunley was elected.
'It was quite unexpected,' Dr. Tunley said in taking the chair. Mr. O'Reilly, he added, had carried on remarkably well last year and had set a high standard for him to follow.
The headmaster (Mr. Swan) said that Mr. O'Reilly had always evinced the greatest interest in the association and had done much to further the interests of the school. (Applause.)
Mr. O'Reilly said he was quite glad that the doctor was there. It had been a pleasure to have been associated with the work of the association1
