P. AND C. ASSOCIATION
MR Eric Pye presided over an enthusiastic meeting of the Welshville Parents and Citizens' Association on Friday evening last. After routine business had been transacted, members entered into a discussion concerning the concert and dance to be held in the Cooyal Hall on October 21, in aid of the funds of the association. It was reported that Mr. A. Hankin, a capable teacher of the Mandolin, violin, and piano, was engaged in instructing upwards of a dozen pupils, who would make their bow at the concert.
Mrs. E. J. Babbage, recognised as one of the best organisers in the district, was unanimously elected secretary, and it is confidently anticipated that she will receive the whole-headed support of every member of the association.
The announcement that Messrs J. Pirie, sen. and Junr., had willingly consented to render vocal items at the concert was joyously received, as the gentlemen named are prime favorites with music lovers all over the district.
It would certainly appear that a great treat is in store for the people of Stony Creek and surrounding districts, and it will not be surprising if the attendance breaks all existing records1

PROGRESSIVE ORGANISATION
THE Welshville Parents and Citizens' Association, Stony Creek, is performing very fine work in the Interests of the school children in that centre. Organisations of this description are capable of much good, and should be encouraged in every possible way. There are very many things which can be done to promote the welfare of the children, particularly in small country centres, and the Stony Creek folk are certainly doing their share2

Concert and Dance
The Welshville Parents and Citizens' Association is making elaborate arrangements for the grand concert and dance at Cooyal on October 26, and everything points to a record success.
A largely-attended meeting, presided over by Mr. E. Pye, was held at the school on Monday evening last, and great enthusiasm prevailed. A willing band of workers was appointed to carry out the arrangements, particularly as to seating accommodation, and the comfort of visitors, as well as the erection of a marquee for dressing purposes, supper, etc. Nothing will be left undone to endeavor to make this event a real success. Mr. Hankin, who has charge of the pupils, reports that they are well advanced, and will not discredit him. Moreover, some of Mudgee's best singers have kindly consented to assist. Mr. Chas. Wilton, also of Mudgee, has willingly consented to act as accompanist. The Cooyal Hall is always popular with lovers of dancing, so, given fine weather, the committee is confident that October 28 will be an eventful night for all concerned3

WELSHVILLE P. AND C. ASSOCIATION
THE best attended meeting of the above was held, a few evenings ago, Mr. E. Page (president) being in the chair. This being the annual meeting, the secretary (Mr. Morgan Gleeson) produced a balance sheet, which disclosed a decent surplus, even after liberally assisting the teacher (Mr. Gibson) with purchase of school material, garden tools, library books and cleansing of school tanks.
Officers elected for the ensuing year were: President, Mr. E. Pye; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. Kurtz and A. Ellis; auditors, Messrs. W. Gibson and W. Kurtz; secretary and treasurer, Mr. M. Gleeson.
The annual picnic will be held in the Cooyal Park on 31st March, to be followed by a dance. The president, with two live-wire organisers in the persons of Mrs. E. J. Babbage and W. Kurtz, and a good working committee, will leave nothing to chance, particularly in the matter of comfort to children and visitors7
