DEPARTURE OF MR. B. STACY.
This gentleman who for the last three years has been manager of the Oriental Bank at Gulgong, left on Thursday last, to undertake the management of the Commercial Bank at Mudgee, and his friends met the previous evening at Selff's Hotel in order to bid him farewell and present him with an address and testimonial. T. A. Browne, Esq, occupied the chair, and a large number were present. Mr. William Murphy of the firm of Booth and Co. read the address and presented the same with a handsome gold watch to Mr. Stacy, who responded in feeling and appropriate terms. Mr. Stacy for the last fifteen years has been an employee of the Oriental Bank Corporation at Braidwood, Adelong, Kiandra, Forbes, Grenfell, and Gulgong, and for the last eight years has acted in the capacity of manager. We regret very much his departure from Gulgong as he has always been noted for his kindness and urbanity. Mr. A. W. Honour is appointed his successor here and we feel certain, a better appointment could not be made1
