APPRECIATION FROM THE UNEMPLOYED
(To the Editor).
On behalf of the unemployed of Gulgong, who are practically strangers to the town, I would like to express through the columns of your paper, appreciation of the wonderful generosity of the people. Practically all of us have had assistance one way and another, and I desire it to be known publicly that we appreciate all that has been done. Fyfe and Son have been wonderfully good to us, as have Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Cross, of the Mayne Street butcher's shop, aldermen of the Town Council, and the townspeople in general. We shall never forget their many acts of kindness and thoughtfulness, and I trust that these few lines will let them see that we are really thankful. Yours, etc., T. RUSSELL. Showground, Gulgong, 4th August, 19312 .
