MRS. A. F. E. MERKLE'S JEWELLERY ESTABLISHMENT.
Throughout the West, the name of A. F. E. Merkle is household in relation to timepieces and jewellery, this widespread and favourable reputation having been acquired during a business career extending over 28 years. During the whole of that period the effort has been successfully made to give the public the advantage of the latest novelties, while in the matter of making articles to original designs, or effecting repairs, the best of workmanship has always been a feature of the establishment. To uphold this enviable reputation in the trade, Mrs. Merkle has lately engaged the services of Mr. H. J. Nickolls, a gentleman with wide Sydney and Melbourne experience, not only as a tradesman, but as a buyer, and whose training has taught him the art of keeping abreast of the times. At the present time, Mrs. Merkle has an extensive and choicely selected stock of sterling gold and silver and electroplate ware, which affords buyers almost as wide a choice of goods as may be had in Sydney1 .
