In 1916 the New South Wales Lime and Cement Company (now the Kandos Cement Company) erected a 30,000-tons capacity plant with modern improvements at Kandos, on the Mudgee railway line. This plant has been continually added to, until now four units are working, and a fifth is being installed, and the capacity increased to 200,000 tons per annum1 .
