Kandos Accident Fund

The depression now being experienced is reflected in the funds of the Kandos Accident Fund. At the end of last half year the credit balance stood at £304/9/1. Contributions received during the current half-year aggregated £67/19/8, while expenditure has been £135/19/. Several heavy claims had to be met on account of accidents involving a long time off work, consequently the credit balance of the fund has dropped to £236/9/9. No salaries were paid to the administrators of the funds during the past term, as they voluntarily agreed to forego payment1 .
