One can scarcely speak of the Mudgee district without mentioning the name of Cox. The family is numerous, and has made the district celebrated for the quality of its sheep, besides being foremost in other matters pertaining to agriculture, dairying, and the welfare of the district generally. At Cullenbone, near the Gulgong-road, three generations of the family have held rule, the present occupant of the station being Mr. J. D. Cox, J.P2 .
