Moolarben.
On New Years Day a garden fete in aid of the Catholic Church was held at Moolarben. The organisers, three little girls, Misses Doris, Meg, and Freda Swords, have every reason to be proud of their effort, the sum of £2/6/ being the afternoon's takings, principally in pennies. Afternoon tea, cool drinks, sweets, and a Christmas tree were on the ground. A very attractive programme of sports was carried out. In the cool of the evening a number of little people did the Maypole.
The members of the Moolarben Ulan-Murragamba War Chest Circle (knitting and sewing) have done good work during the year. The following articles have been made and forwarded to the Sydney depot: - 300 shirts, 24 underpants. 72 mufflers, and 100 pairs of socks. The knitting circle in addition to socks were able to send along the sum of £32/8/, proceeds of market day, held on December 7. Special thanks are due to Mrs. H. Archer (Ulan depot) for her kindness in receiving and distributing work, also to Mr. F. Warner, sen., for carrying same to and from Mudgee1 .
