MESSRS. W. TAIT AND COMPANY, GENERAL STOREKEEPERS.
The firm of Messrs. W. Tait, and Company is well known in the district of Mudgee. Established nearly sixteen years ago, the firm has moved solidly. Formerly conducted by Messrs, S. Parker and Company, it was then taken over by Tait and McDiarmid, and has for the last five years been run solely by Mr. W. Tait. The premises, which are large and commodious, form a leading feature of the town. Four different departments are run under one roof, embracing a wide area. The stock in this establishment is thoroughly up-to-date, its selection being under the general supervision of Mr. Tait, and the farmer or housewife can rely on getting almost any article required for general, household, or farming use. There is a large staff of capable employees to look after the wants of the customers. This firm conducts a very extensive business, the turnover having almost doubled within a few years. Produce and gold buying are largely carried on, and are important factors in the success of the business1 .
