The Mudgee Guardian building has sold at auction
he building sold for $950,000 at Property Shop Mudgee after an initial opening bid of $700,000. The auctioneer was Andrew Palmer.

EARLIER: The iconic Mudgee Guardian building on Perry Street will go under the hammer today in an auction to be held at The Property Shop.

Director at The Property Shop Mudgee, Andrew Palmer said he's pleased with the amount of interest the building has received.

"The majority of people have been attracted to the building for its elegant Victorian architecture and prominence in Mudgee's Town Centre. It has been an interesting process to see the different ideas that people have in regard to the future use."

The auction will take place at 11am at The Property Shop Mudgee.
