Erudgere-Grattai Bush Fire Brigade wrote with reference to damages which occurred to two privately owned trucks used in bush fire fighting operations in December, 1952, pointing out that one owner, who applied for compensation, was denied any assistance owing to a small loophole in the Workers' Compensation (Bush Fire Fighters) Act and stating that truck owners are now reluctant to make their vehicles available.
It was decided that the clerk pursue the matter of compensation with the proper authorities. It was considered that the claim was worthy of every consideration1
