Bush Fire equipment. - "I have advised the Local Government Department that equipment to the value of £1,162 will be ordered for bush fire brigades for the year ending 30th June, 1954. The brigades have requested the following items: -
Cook's Gap: 1 Moffit Virtue unit (to be transferred from Yarrabin); 12 knapsacks, £52/4/-; 12 rake handles, £1/11/6; 4 water bags. £1/2/-.
It will be necessary to make some adjustments to the brigades' requirements to keep the amount within the statutory limit.
It was decided to suggest a smaller unit for the Crudine brigade on the motion of Councillors Perram and Mills1
