Concert and Dance
The Welshville Parents and Citizens' Association is making elaborate arrangements for the grand concert and dance at Cooyal on October 26, and everything points to a record success.
A largely-attended meeting, presided over by Mr. E. Pye, was held at the school on Monday evening last, and great enthusiasm prevailed. A willing band of workers was appointed to carry out the arrangements, particularly as to seating accommodation, and the comfort of visitors, as well as the erection of a marquee for dressing purposes, supper, etc. Nothing will be left undone to endeavor to make this event a real success. Mr. Hankin, who has charge of the pupils, reports that they are well advanced, and will not discredit him. Moreover, some of Mudgee's best singers have kindly consented to assist. Mr. Chas. Wilton, also of Mudgee, has willingly consented to act as accompanist. The Cooyal Hall is always popular with lovers of dancing, so, given fine weather, the committee is confident that October 28 will be an eventful night for all concerned1 .
