18 April 1854 James Walsh, of Mudgee, was granted a General Publican's Licence to operate the Shamrock Inn, Mortimer Street, Mudgee. His sureties were Samuel Rayner, farmer, Grattai and Myles Harte Lyons, farmer, Mudgee1 .
