There seems to have been a little misunderstanding somewhere along the line.
Secretary of Mudgee Lions Club, Percy Chapman, rang up yesterday to say the club’s project for this year was the young people’s organisations of the town - not the old people’s home.
He mentioned Guides, Scouts, the Town Band and Sporting clubs as most likely to benefit from the Lion barbecue at the Twilight Race Meeting today1 .
