MESSRS. CROSSING AND COX, AUCTIONEERS AND STOCK AND STATION AGENTS.
One of the conspicuous architectural features of Market-street, Mudgee, is the stone-fronted building occupied by Messrs. Crossing and Cox, auctioneers and stock and station agents. Mr. Henry Crossing has carried on the business for upwards of forty years, and has so successfully organised it, that it is now widely and favourably known throughout this State and Queensland. Messrs. Crossing and Cox have always paid great attention to the conduct of stock sales, and two regular weekly sales of fat stock, with frequent sales of store stock, making the town of Mudgee a highly important stock-selling centre. The firm has very extensive paddocking accommodation close both to the trucking and selling yards, which greatly facilitates the handling of their clients' stock1
