Owner and licensee, John Thompson; mortgagee, John Davis, Ginghi .
Mr. McPherson (McPherson and Bawden) represented Mr. Thompson Police Inspector Bond in evidence, stated there was one conviction against this hotel. The state of repair of the building was good, there were 15 rooms, of which four bedrooms were used by the public. It has a five stall stable. The distance from Mudgee was 18 miles. and from Rylstone 14. It catered for the general public, and was well conducted. The population within a radius of four miles was 241. The Chairman: Where is this industry ? Are there men there?
Witness: None at present. They are forming the company.
Mr. McPherson: A very profitable industry at the present time. (Laughter).
The Chairman, (smiling): So the industry is at present in Sydney.
Mr. McPherson: Yes, and it generally stops there.

Mr. McPherson: As good as you will get anywhere? - Yes.
