The principal vineyards are owned by Messrs. W. T. Bucholtz (Fredericksburg), who has taken some 40 prizes for his wines, not only in the colonies, but in London, Paris., and Calcutta1 .

FREDERICKSBURG PASSED IN.
At noon yesterday Messrs. Crossing and Cox, on behalf of Messrs. W. and J. Bucholtz, offered Fredericksberg, the well-known vineyard and orchard comprising 232 acres freehold, homestead, wine cellars, and full wine making plant. There was a fair attendance, but buyers seemed to be scarce or not in earnest, as the bidding did not reach the reserve placed on the property, and it was passed in2 .
