NEW DISTRICT RESIDENT AT MONIVAE, LUE.
Mr. T. Spora, from Artarmon, last week took up his residence at Monivae, .where he has purchased 3000 acres, portion of the Monivae Estate, from Mr. James McMaster. We welcome Mr. Spora to our district, and trust his stay will be a happy and prosperous one. Mr. Spora placed 2200 sheep on his property last week, which he purchased from the Dubbo district1 .

DISASTROUS FIRE. MESSRS.
Spora Bros., of 'Wonga,' Camboon, lost their homestead on Wednesday morning, when the entire building went up in flames. Mr. Leo. Spora was awakened by the sound of crackling proceeding from the direction of the kitchen, and at first thought It to be Mr. Herb. Turner lighting the kitchen fire, but soon Leo. began to smell the smoke .and jumped out of bed to find the kitchen well alight In the roof. Awakening his ber and the housekeeper, the trio managed to rescue a very few articles, I and make their escape. The house and contents were entirely consumed by the flames in a very short time. We understand that the house and contents were insured2 .
