STORE FOR BYLONG.
Mr. John Chapman, at whose residence the Bylong Post Office is located, is erecting a new Post Office on lines as required by the department, and with conveniences to also deal with the telephone business. The "talking wire" will be connected at an early date. Mr. Chapman also intends to erect a general store. A blacksmith's shop and shoeing forge have long been a much felt want by Bylong residents, the nearest tradesmen being 20 to 30 miles distant. A site has now been chosen for one upon the main public road, between the Post Office and cheese factory, and which will be open to the public upon regular days in each week, or every day if busi ness warrants the attendance of the smith1

FIRE AT BYLONG
On Friday night last, the post office, store and residence of Mr. W. Tracy, of Bylong, were burned to the ground. Everything, with the exception of a sewing machine and chest of drawers, was destroyed. The cause of the fire is unknown2
