PRIME RURAL HOLDING ON OFFER
The Ilford holding Inverway has been listed for a November 14 auction through Esdaile Rural Marketing and Elders Real Estate.
The 812 ha property, owned by the Campbell family, is one of the largest properties in the Ilford district.
It was a property which could be used for several agricultural pursuits such as beef production, fat lamb enterprise, wool, lucerne and cash cropping, or vineyards, the Esdaile listing agent, Mr David Nolan, said.
It was well-watered with double frontage to the Warrangunia Creek, 25 dams, and about 30 ha of irrigated land.
Other features were a twostorey, four-bedroom main residence with valley views, a two-bedroom cottage, substantial cattle yards, sheep yards, shearing, machinery and haysheds.
The property was 53 km south-west of Mudgee and less than three hours'drive from Sydney.
Given its location, versatility, presentation and recent local district sale results, Inverway was expected to sell for more than $1 million, Mr Nolan said.
Both Elders and Dalgettys have reported significant movement in the rural property market and a number of $1 million plus sales have been negotiated in the past few months1 .
